New Year’s Recipe: Anti-Inflammatory Sangria Mocktail

A Refreshing Dry January Treat

Ingredients:

  • 1 Orange, scrubbed, halved, and sliced into 1/4 – inch rounds

  • 1 Small Gala Apple, halved, cored, and sliced into 1/4 – inch pieces

  • 1 Large Lemon, scrubbed and thinly sliced
  • 4 (4-inch) Sprigs of fresh Rosemary, plus extra for garnish
  • 3 1/2 cups chilled 100% Pomegranate Juice
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • 2 (12-ounce) cans berry-flavored Seltzer
  • Ice, for serving

Directions:

1. Remove seeds from the fruit slices if needed.

2. In a large pitcher, combine the Orange, Apple, and Lemon slices with 4 Rosemary Sprigs. Gently muddle the mixture using a wooden spoon to release the fruit juices (about 30 seconds).

3. Stir in the Pomegranate Juice and Orange Juice. Cover and refrigerate for at-least 1 hour, or up to 12 hours.

4. When ready to serve, add the berry-flavored Seltzer and gently mix.

5. Pour over ice-filled glasses and garnish with additional Rosemary Sprigs if desired.

Make-Ahead Option:

Complete steps 1-3 and refrigerate for up to 12 hours. Add the Seltzer just before serving for optimal fizz.
